A Healthy and Delicious Snack: Peanut Butter Bars

Ingredients

  1. 100 g of bittersweet chocolate (70 percent or more) Almonds (100 g)
  2. 8-10 big dates (about) (preferably from the brand Juicy Dates, which can be bought in Irma)
  3. 1-tablespoon of extra-virgin coconut oil
  4. 1 tablespoon of peanut butter
  5. An itty-bitty teaspoon of cardamom (can be omitted)
  6. a tiny teaspoon of pure vanilla bean extract

Here’s how to go about it

  1. Chop the chocolate and almonds into small pieces. To prepare the dates, remove the stones and slice them up extremely finely.
  2. Combine it with coconut oil and peanut butter for a creamy texture.
  3. If you think it’s required, you can add a pinch of cardamom or vanilla extract; however, it is not necessary, and the bars taste just as delicious without it!
  4. Cut a piece of baking paper to the size of the form in which you want to freeze the dough and place it on a baking sheet.
  5. The baking paper should extend over the sides of the pan as well. From a frying pan to a loaf pan, the shape is entirely up to the cook.
  6. Pour the bulk down and into the container, smoothing it out. It should be roughly 2-3 cm thick at its thickest point.
  7. Place the mass in the freezer for 1 hour to solidify. Take the dough out of the mold and cut it into 12 bars with a sharp knife to make a cookie sheet.

Wrap each bar individually in baking paper and secure with a small string if necessary – it looks so inviting.

We usually keep the bars in the freezer so that they are always fresh and ready to go for a packed lunch or a day at the park. Love comes in a variety of forms.
